With Plastpol Expo, an important meeting place for the plastics processing industry is returning to Kielce, Poland. The trade fair attracts exhibitors and visitors from Central and Eastern Europe with more than 50 percent of exhibitors coming from outside Poland.
Plastpol is Poland's largest and most important plastics processing industry exhibition, having over the years received pan-European recognition. This year's Plastpol Expo will be held from May 28 – 31. The trade fair brings together representatives of all business groups in the plastics processing sector — distributors, material producers and machines manufacturers and, first and foremost, the clients in different industries. Moreover, the event provides a platform for scientific and technical innovations.
For a quarter of a century, the Kielce Plastpol Expo has been Central and Eastern Europe's focal meeting point for business insiders, the dialogue platform for domestic and global companies active in the plastics processing sector. Exhibitions of similar prestige and magnitude are not held in the neighbouring countries in the east and south of Poland. In recent years, Plastpol has reported a steady increase in the number of recycling-business companies exhibiting at this trade fair. More than 50 percent of the exhibitors at the show were foreign companies.
The visitors’ side is dominated by members of the plastics industry and plastics processing technologies. Packaging and recycling companies also visit the plastics and rubber fair. Regarding the visitor profile, most are from the production sector but almost the same percentage comes from board representatives and directors. This ensures a good mix of perspectives present at the show.
New moulds and other equipment for plastics processing will be another area of focus at the fair. Traditionally, a variety of product groups relating to industrial design, packaging, patterning, and recycling will be presented. At the show, numerous different machines will be running live, giving visitors the chance to see their possible investments in action.
But Plastpol is much more than machines and purchase offers. The expo offers meetings, seminars, training courses and thus the opportunity for face to face meetings and to exchange business and professional experiences with experts from all corners of the world. For instance, this year continues the many-year tradition of seminars prepared by Plastech-Info, which features the latest development in plastics processing technology. The seminar is devoted to the role of the plastics market and the meetings organised by the Waste Management and Recycling Cluster on the most important issues related to plastics and innovations aimed at a circular economy of raw materials.
It has been a Plastpol tradition to include the Platinum Plast Gala on the first day of the exhibition — this is when Targi Kielce Medals and distinctions are awarded. Medals and distinctions are presented in several categories for the best product and the most outstanding style of presentations at the event stands. The jury panel is composed of leading business insiders. Another trade show highlight is the Omniplast competition which aims to spread knowledge about plastic processing and related processing technologies. Companies exhibiting at the 26th Plastpol can participate in the competition.
