The Chinese manufacturer Innokin leads the way in starter kits. Following their excellent Z50 kit, Innokin introduced an adaptable kit in the form of Z80. It looks like Zenith II, but it is more powerful and versatile-you can use it for two styles of e-cigarettes.

The Z80 kit has a stylish design and a smooth surface, and uses 18650 batteries. Adding a new operating mode to the updated Zenith II clearomizer means you can use it for indirect and restricted direct e-cigarettes... this is a great way to start e-cigarettes!

There is a spring-loaded 510 connector on the top of the box. It can be equipped with an atomizer with a maximum diameter of 26mm to meet the needs of most people, even with a single 18650 battery. The box can reach 80 W.

The main body of the box is covered with smooth leather or suede material, depending on the surface treatment. It feels soft and smooth in your hand.

You can enter the battery box through the screw cap. There is a small label (for picking up) for easy operation. 4 exhaust ports increase the safety level of Z80 to prevent battery problems. The cap thread is smooth. It only takes a few seconds to install the battery.

There are two buttons for setting on the front and a USB-C port under them for occasional charging. The activation button is located at the top of the box. It is discreetly inlaid with golden edges.

The display is bright enough to show all the information you need for daily use. The Z80 box has a menu in watts and volts, and an F∅ function. This menu allows you to set the frequency in Hertz to suit the coil you are using. To make this feature easier to use, the box will show suggestions about the scope of use. According to your inhalation method and the e-liquid you use, you should update the value within the recommended range. The refresh function is a low-power preheating function that can remove any e-liquid deposits on the coil. It is a bit unusual when used, but it works well. Combining these two functions can ensure a longer coil life than in the traditional wattage mode.

Zenith II has two suction nozzles (drip nozzles). The mouthpiece installed when the package is opened is used for indirect inhalation (inhalation into the mouth and then into the lungs, just like a cigarette). The second mouthpiece is bigger and darker. It is used for direct inhalation (when you breathe directly into the lungs). These new features show how far Zenith II has come. It is more versatile than its big brother, but we will come back to this point. Filling is easy-just turn the top ring on the transparent atomizer to open the filling hole. Even if you turn the Zenith II upside down, the detachable seal ensures that it will not leak. We recommend using bottles with narrow pointed ends to simplify this process. With a capacity of 5.5 ml, you don't even need to add water to Zenith II often.

The design of Zenith II is sober. The edges are slightly rounded, and the shape of the clearomizer is added. Zenith's "Z" is engraved on the upper rotating ring. It is discreet and well integrated. The lower ring that allows you to touch the coil is also machined to make it easier to turn.

The biggest change of the new Zenith II is that it can be completely disassembled. Unlike the first model, you can replace the Pyrex tank. The kit actually comes with a second fuel tank. It only takes a few seconds to disassemble the atomizer-everything can be screwed on and unscrewed easily and completely smoothly.

Replacing the coil is easy. Since there are two plates on both sides of the coil, it can only be installed in one way. It is easy to put in and take out the coil, once put in, it will not move. The seal is working properly. During the external test, we did not see any leaks or any terrible leaks.

What makes Zenith II unique is this newly discovered versatility. As the preferred scavenger for indirect inhalation and very tight aspiration, the first model has won a high reputation and a large fan base. The new model retains the qualities that made the first clearomizer so successful, and was also developed to provide limited direct inhalation. The air flow adjustment ring has a series of 3 small holes for ultra-tight suction. Rotating it a little bit can provide you with a more direct chance to draw a lottery. It is amazing that it can be used in conjunction with a Z coil to choose a wide range of power.

The 0.8 ohm coil is designed for indirect suction. Its use range is between 15 to 18 W, and it provides excellent aromatic flavor. Adjusting the airflow adjustment ring can make the ventilation tightness variable, which can change the steam temperature. It is very suitable for delicious liquids. Users who like low-power e-cigarettes can easily switch to other coils used with Zenith II, ranging from 0.48 ohms to 1.6 ohms. This is enough to meet the needs of most people.

The second 0.3 ohm resistor, used between 30 and 40 W, is reserved for limiting direct inhalation. No matter which liquid we try, it tastes great. The amount of steam produced is consistent with the power used by the coil. There is no doubt that this coil gives beginners the opportunity to try direct suction, and also provides a reasonable direct suction for those who like Xiaoyun.

What we don't like

Often used in the media and politics, here is the most important topic about e-cigarettes.
