The company was the first to develop a fusion welding process capable of joining long-length fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP). Then it introduced non-stick covers bonded to paper mill dryer rolls, which eliminated many of the common problems associated with paper production such as picking, sticking and corrosion. Edlon, Inc. also developed the process of isostatically molding pipe and fitting linings from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).

During the decades that followed, Edlon, Inc. created an array of fluoropolymer products and processes that delivered outstanding corrosion resistance, high-temperature capabilities and non-stick properties. This has been accomplished by its pioneering developments in the application of fluoropolymers as well as the acquisition of other, similar innovators in the industry. It was among the first to offer the following: FEP-lined vessels FEP-lined internals for glass-lined reactors FEP/fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) dual laminate Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)-coated truck tank trailers PTFE/FRP dual laminates PVDF-line railroad tank cars

Today, Edlon, Inc. has an extended product line of advanced fluoropolymer-based products and services engineered for traditional applications, as well as a wide variety of growth industries including pharmaceuticals, semiconductor and electronics. Its worldwide distribution network and manufacturing capabilities enable Edlon, Inc. to be a major global supplier of the following products: Lined pipe & fittings Ultra-pure products Vessel linings & coatings Roll covers & coatings Columns & accessories Flexible connectors Glass-lined vessel repair components
