Material & Design Solutions (MDS), a supplier of high-performance components for various sealing applications in high temperature, high pressure and corrosive environments, announced the acquisition of the assets of APS Plastics and Manufacturing (Tomball, Texas).

APS Plastics is a full-service manufacturer of customized plastic, metal and composite parts, providing engineering solutions for complex and precision machined parts in the oil and gas, aerospace, medical, food processing, and electronics industries. This private company has been in business for 15 years and has 10 employees. 

MDS acquired the assets of APS to obtain the company's extensive processing capabilities. The assets include six CNC lathes and five CNC milling machines, which MDS will use to process Pektron PEEK, Texron PTFE and other thermoplastics into finished parts. 

MDS provides advanced sealing solutions for high-performance molded and machined thermoplastic parts. Its materials include Pektron PEEK, Texron PTFE, polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), Torlon PAI, Vespel PI and other thermoplastic polymers. Critical service applications. MDS also offers PetrozFFKM, FKM and TFE/P elastomer seals and electrical connectors.
