Drinking a smoothie after exercise feels like a luxury, but if you have the habit of buying this fuel juice multiple times a week, then it's time to buy the right personal blender. Worried that the smoothies in your home will not blend as perfectly as your local juice shop? You may be surprised.

Blender has been around for nearly 100 years, and at that time, they gained many new features and functions. Stephen Poplawski created the first blender in 1922 to make malt and milkshakes, but today, you can use the blender to make smoothies, soups, salsa, nut butters, and even baby puree. Not only has the function been developed, but the size of the mixer has also been adjusted. The personal blender is perfect for those with limited countertop space or those who want to blend a fruit smoothie, grab it and hit the road.

The motor size of your personal blender is in watts. If you just want to make fresh fruit and green smoothies, you can choose a lower power, such as 250 watts. If you use a lot of frozen fruits or vegetables, you will want to increase your strength. Want to crush enough ice to make a snow cone? Choose a blender close to 1,000 watts.

The size of the mixing cup you like is up to you. Although all the blenders we tested are personal blenders, some come with larger cups, which are perfect for smoothie bowls or when you want to share a smoothie. Others have smaller, take-away cups. The rest is there: six of the eight recommended blenders include various cup sizes.

Do you want to press a button and let your machine provide you with a perfectly blended smoothie, or do you want to save some money and pulse your blender manually? Some personal blenders only offer manual pulse or twist and lock mixing options, but more expensive blenders offer multiple settings with minimal user interaction.

Our product review team conducted a series of tests within a week:

After our testing was completed, we polled our editors to learn about their feedback on the personal blender they use to make daily smoothies.

How do you know which personal blender is right for you? We tested 16 popular blenders and voted our editors to determine which ones are best for making smoothies. Please continue reading our findings.

What you will like: Unique design, power and versatility. Remember: the spout on the cup is a bit clumsy. This blender weighs 12 pounds.

This B10 blender from Beast far exceeds all other blenders we have tested for smoothies. It has a power of 1000 watts and has performed well in every test we conducted. It has two settings: self-timed pulse and one-minute mixing. Compared with traditional mixers, Beast's design is also amazing. It is similar to a lantern, very sturdy, and comes in black, gray, and white.

Our testers stated that Beast B10 always provides perfect blending, but the drinking spout is located in the center of the cup, which makes drinking smoothies a bit complicated. Our home testers also noticed that although the ridge design is beautiful, it is a bit difficult to clean.

I use this blender mainly for making smoothies and homemade nut butters. I like that it has a non-slip base, so it does not slide around when mixing ingredients. I also like that when you select its pre-programmed settings, it will pause between pulses and let the food fall to the bottom again to ensure that all ingredients get an even impact. But the curved rib design on the container makes them difficult to clean by hand, so I always have to clean them in the dishwasher.

What you will like: Built-in timer, multiple settings, powerful 1100 watt motor. Remember: the position of the blade makes hand washing challenging.

Ninja is a trusted brand of blenders, and for good reason: this Ninja Pro performed well in all our taste tests. The built-in timer makes it easy to know how long you need to wait for a perfectly blended smoothie. Professionally programmed settings (crushed ice, smoothie and pulse) make it the most versatile blender option.

My favorite feature is Auto-IQ: it pulsates and pauses throughout the mixing process to make a smoothie for you. Just leave the kitchen and return to the perfect frozen mixture. The only drawback of the design is that due to the super sharp blade, cleaning may pose a safety hazard.

What you would like: colorful appearance, simple twist function, ready-to-use cups. Remember: Although this blender is very suitable for making fruit smoothies, it did not perform well in our crushed ice test because It can only crush a small part of a glass of ice.

This 250-watt blender from Oster looks like a product from the 80s, so if you are looking for a stylish black blender, this is not for you. However, if you prefer a bit of color in the cabinet and are looking for an affordable small blender, then this is a good choice.

Our testers noticed that although it blended a very good fruit smoothie, it did not perform well in green smoothie, salsa, ice or durability tests. However, the lightweight "travel sports bottle" feels like holding a water bottle, so it is easy to put it in your bag as a smoothie before or after exercise.

What you will like: modern design, durable drinking lid and perfect salsa. Remember: this blender did not perform well in the ice test. It shreds the ice in a way to make larger ice cubes instead of smaller ice cubes.

Zwilling is known for its innovative modern design, and this blender perfectly demonstrates this. It has two settings: turn the knob to the right to get a smoothie or turn the knob to the left. Although this blender did not perform well in the ice test, it performed well in the fruit and green smoothie tests, and it was the only blender we tested that was able to make perfectly chopped salsa. Our testers also noticed that the splash-proof drinking cap is actually splash-proof and is perfectly designed for a morning smoothie that you can carry with you confidently.

The design of the Zwilling personal blender left a deep impression on me. The matte black base looks stylish and expensive, the dial is very easy to use, and the outer cover has a genius locking mechanism to prevent accidental opening (and overflow).

What you would like: ultra-thin cup design, drinkable coffee pot lid, compatible with Mason jars. Remember: ultra-thin design makes hand washing difficult, and there is a slight smell of burning plastic after operation, so users should be careful not to overheat the motor .

Tribest's simple design 500 watt mixer comes in three colors (red, white and gray). In operation, you press to pulse or twist and lock in place to mix. This design does not look eye-catching on your kitchen counter, we like that it is compatible with Mason jars.

Our testers stated that although the narrow design of the cup makes it easy to hold and drink, it proves to be a challenge if you want to wash your hands.

What you will like: Small and compact design, easy-to-grip cups. Remember: the small cup size limits your smoothie recipe.

For everyday smoothie lovers who want to save space on the countertop, Magic Bullet is an economical choice. This 250-watt blender did not perform well in our ice test, but made great fruits and green smoothies. Since the cup is smaller, we had to adjust the recipe slightly, but if you are looking for a simple smoothie snack instead of a smoothie bowl, this is a good choice.

It comes with a one-year warranty, but our testers said that it may last longer because one of them has owned this mixer for more than ten years.

What you will like: It is lightweight, easy to clean, and comes in 25 different colors and patterns. Remember: it is not as powerful as other blender options.

BlendJet’s portable blender is an excellent choice for making table-top smoothies or portable drinks. It comes with a USB charger, recipe book and smoothie mix. When in use, press the front button and it will mix for 20 seconds. Repeat until you reach the consistency you want.

Our testers pointed out that although it is not as powerful as other blenders, it is by far the easiest to clean because you can pour it into hot water and detergent and press the button.

What you will like: matte design in seven colors, simple to use, powerful and fast. Remember: you can rotate and lock the cup in place to achieve complete mixing, otherwise, you need to pulse manually.

Nutribullet Pro Exclusive is available in seven different colors (including mint green and navy blue) and has a power of 900 watts. Due to the smaller base size, we prefer this Pro version to the slightly cheaper original Nutribullet.

Our testers said that this blender only took 30 seconds to make a classic fruit smoothie. When in use, you can screw in the cup and rotate it to pulsate or lock it to mix. When you are satisfied with the mixture, you can twist it. This blender also performed well in the crushed ice test and the green smoothie test, so you can be confident in this choice.

My Nutribullet Pro has been used for about six months, and I use it to make fruit smoothies almost every morning. Occasionally I change it and make a green smoothie, but usually, I pack it with frozen berries, yogurt, spinach, and vital protein powder. It is very quick and painless to use. I just made a few long pulses and my smoothie was ready.
